Banana Carrot Cookies


Ingredients

5     cups whole wheat or regular flour
1     cup cornmeal
4     large carrots, chopped
3     fresh ripe bananas, mashed
1     egg
1/2  cup water

Instructions
------------------------------------------------
1.  Preheat oven to 350ºF. 
2.  Place the chopped carrots into a blender and chop them into finer pieces. Add mashed bananas and egg. 
3.  In a medium bowl, combine all dry ingredients together. Add wet mixture to form the cookie dough.
4.  On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough to approx. 1/4 inch thick.
5.  Cut out with a cookie cutter (dog bone shape cookie cutter as per photo)
6.  Place treats on parchment paper in a baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
7.  Take cookies out, flip them over and put them back in the oven (with the oven off)
8.  Let cookies cool with the oven until crisp to remove any remaining moisture. 
8.  Enjoy!
